This booklet is the manifesto of Centre 65, an amateur Singapore English language theatre company founded in the 1960s by late playwright, Goh Poh Seng. Stella Kon’s mother, Rosie Seow was also a member of the theatre company. Stella Kon is an award-winning Singapore playwright whose most important work was the 1983 one-woman play, Emily of Emerald Hill. She is also a descendent of two prominent Peranakan philanthropists, Tan Tock Seng and Dr Lim Boon Keng.
