A Buddha figure, seated with legs crossed and hands forming the teaching gesture of dharmachakramudra, within an arch-shaped niche. He wears draped monastic robes covering both shoulders. The figure would have been part of a frieze of similar Buddha figures encircling a stupa. It compares to examples found at Taxila in Pakistan and is probably from that site. It is a good example of stucco figures from the Gandhara period.
