Kebaya with Small Flowers

This kebaya is decorated with sprays of flowers both down the front and behind. Accents of smaller blooms adorn the edges. The fabric is stippled with salmon pink and green dots. Kebayas with elongated tapered ends were popular in the 1930s and many were commissioned by Peranakan women. It is part of a donation which contains a mixture of garments worn by Peranakan men and women.
