This is the signed 1989 edition of the play Emily of Emerald Hill. It is the first edition of the book and was used as the script for Pearlly Chua in her many performances of the play. Stella Kon is an award-winning Singapore playwright whose most important work was the 1983 one-woman play, Emily of Emerald Hill. She is also a descendent of two prominent Peranakan philanthropists, Tan Tock Seng and Dr Lim Boon Keng.
