The gold wrapped thread and beaded panel is decorated with animals and flowers. At the centre of the panel is an ogival medallion containing a pair of pink and blue fish, symbolizing wealth and abundance in Chinese art. A pair of phoenixes and a large rooster also decorates the panel, as well as large peonies. Beaded panels like this would have been likely commissioned as part of the Peranakan wedding.
