This is a programme from a performance of Emily of Emerald Hill at the Old Town Hall in Malaysia by actress Pearlly Chua. Pearlly holds the distinction of being the actress to have performed the role of Emily Gan most frequently since she first began in 1990.Stella Kon is an award-winning Singapore playwright whose most important work was the 1983 one-woman play, Emily of Emerald Hill. She is also a descendent of two prominent Peranakan philanthropists, Tan Tock Seng and Dr Lim Boon Keng.
