Itinerant merchants from India often travelled to Singapore and Malaya on business in the 20th century. Being British subjects, movement within British colonies was considerably hassle-free. Mr.Mohamed Jina, a Dawoodi Bohra merchant is representative of such itinerant merchants. Mr Mohamed Jina from Vapi, India, travelled to Singapore on business in 1963 and died in Singapore. This is the death certificate issued in the name of Mr.Jina, who passed away at the Singapore General Hospital on 24th November, 1963.
