This is a biscuit tin of Meiji Seika, a Japanese manufacturer of biscuits and caramels that had an affiliate formed in Singapore in 1974. This artefact is evidence of the food manufacturing business in Singapore during the 1970s and also tells of consumption patterns in those days.
