This is a Sawa 71 biscuit maker set in its original box. This made-in-Sweden biscuit maker was well used by the donor's mother for making biscuits and pastries.The donor’s mother had a love for baking and was only able to pursue her interest in baking in 1970s when she moved into a bigger HDB flat with a larger kitchen space. It was during this time that she purchased more baking tools and equipment to experiment with various types of baked goods. The possession of such household items in the 1970s also reveals the rising affluence and increased spending power of Singapore families.
