Shoe box from Golden Flowers

This is a pink shoe box that was used to store ladies’ shoes from S.S. Shoes. An image of flowers with the words “Golden Flowers” can be found on the shoe box. The shoes which the box contained could have been bought in the 1960s-70s, when a wide variety of brands, both local and foreign, were made available to consumers in Singapore. The late 60s-70s saw the emergence of a new breed of shoppers who had a greater disposable income.
