This saucer is decorated with three panels of flowers and birds on the rim and four panels of horses on the interior. The floral, bird and horse motifs are prominently applied and are set against a ring-matt background. The horse panels on the interior include scalloped wave motifs on either side of the animals and are separated by repoussé trellis-work segments. A petal diaper pattern circles the outside of the centre of the saucer. The centre features a repeating foliage pattern. The saucer has a vaguely lobed shape, perhaps to match the vessel that would have accompanied it originally.
