KLM poster titled 'Vernsnelde KLM Kerstvlucht naar Indie'

This poster, comprising a silver-painted illustration painted on thick paper, advertises KLM's (Royal Dutch Airlines) speedier Christmas flights to the Dutch East Indies. The illustration of the airplane (The Zilvermeeuw) is advertised to be making its maiden flight on 18 December 1933, intended to be a historic long-distance flight to Batavia. It unfortunately failed to take off, and continued to be plagued with problems. It ended up being used only on European flights, and was sold to a French company in 1936.
