This passport was issued by the Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies in October 1939 to Mr Liong Kawn Hin (梁玖谦). Many Chinese arrived in the Dutch East Indies, British Protected Malay States and Singapore from the mid-19th century in search of work opportunities.
