WWII Japanese officer’s valise

This Japanese officer's valise is of wicker frame covered in canvas secured by leather straps. The French word for 'bag' or 'suitcase', the valise was used by soldiers to store their personal belongings. It was a standard issue in the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II.
