This photograph is part of a series which depicts the sights and scenes of 19th and 20th century Singapore.A recreation centre for soldiers and sailors, the original Union Jack Club was opened in July 1917 on Anson Road. The club later moved to North Bridge Road where it remained until it was eventually demolished.
