Lake Gardens

This photo album contains photographs which depicts the sights and scenes in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, it was originally known as the Public Gardens and was later renamed the Lake Gardens. It was established in 1888 and was the idea of Alfred Venning, the British State Treasurer. Built around an artificial lake, the 91.6-hectare park now incorporates the National Monument, Butterfly Park, Deer Park, Bird Park, Carcosa Seri Negara, The Forest Research Institute, Orchid Garden and the Hibiscus Garden. It continues to be popular with both locals and tourists.
