This is a rare and fine set of bidri carpet weights also known as mir-I farsh (Slaves of the carpet). Each is formed in the shape of a dome with a knop on top which is decorated with a stylised petalled rosette above a cusped lip. The body of the dome is decorated with bands of repeated single lappets above large vertical chevron patterns. Heavy weights as such these were placed on the four corners of a light carpet. They are shaped to resemble Islamic domes, with square bases.
