Mr. Lee Kuan Yew’s Barrister gown

This barrister gown belonged to former Minister Mentor, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew. Mr. Lee graduated from Cambridge University in 1949 with “Double First Honours” in law and won a distinction award. He qualified as a Barrister-at-Law in London in June 1950. Upon returning to Singapore in August, Lee worked as a legal assistant in a law firm in Malacca Street.
