Lianhe Zaobao is a daily Chinese language broadsheet newspaper owned by Singapore Press Holdings. It is the highest circulated Chinese daily in Singapore, with a daily readership of about 800,000. It was established in 1983 with the merger of two of Singapore’s oldest Chinese newspapers, Nanyang Siang Pau and Sin Chew Jit Poh. This particular edition of Lianhe Zaobao is significant as it is the first edition of the 21st century.
