This paper bag was part of the special presentation package for the book, ‘A Defining Moment: How Singapore Beat SARS’ by Chua Mui Hoong, the senior political correspondent of the Straits Times. The book was commissioned by the Ministry of Communications, Information, and the Arts. It was published in 2004 with Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong being invited as the guest of honour at the book launch event. The book details the efforts by government agencies to fight severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), a viral respiratory disease that infected 283 people and killed 33 others during an epidemic between March and May 2003.
