The author Miao Xiu (苗秀), born Lu Shaoquan (卢绍权), was a Chinese editor and translator in Singapore. He was the first Singaporean Chinese writer to have his novels ‘《新加坡屋顶下》) and ‘《残夜行》) translated and published in Japanese. He was also awarded the Public Service Medal in 1971.
