On 9 August 1965, Singapore left the Federation of Malaysia and became an independent nation-state. Since then, Singapore has conducted grand and impressive Parades and performances annually to celebrate its National Day. This postcard depicts one of the National Day celebrations taking place at Rochor Canal Road in the 1960s.
