This book was published by the Hong Kong Self-Study Publisher (香港自学出版社). The author, Feng Yu Ning (冯瑜宁) or Feng Huan Ru (冯浣如), born Chen Wen Tong (陈文统), was better known by his alternative pseudonym Liang Yu Sheng (梁羽生). He was the pioneer of the ‘new school martial arts and chivalry’ (新派武侠, xinpai wuxia) fiction in the mid 20th century. Along with novelists Jin Yong (金庸) and Gu Long (古龙), Liang was one of the most prolific writers of this genre.
