This is a photograph of two Royal Navy ships (probably HMS Hood and Repulse) that participated in the Special Service Squadron World Cruise.The document is part of a set that belonged to Surgeon Captain J.S. Dudding, a naval officer who served on board one of the ships that took part in the Special Service Squadron World Cruise. The squadron was comprised of the Royal Navy battlecruisers HMS Hood and Repulse; the light cruisers HMS Delhi, Danae, Dragon and Dauntless; and the Australian light cruiser HMAS Adelaide. The cruise lasted from November 1923 to September 1924 and saw the fleet visiting various strategic ports around the world. The Singapore leg of the cruise was from 10 to 18 February 1924.
