This photograph was taken by Singaporean photographer Tan Lip Seng near Tanah Merah. In the past, seashells were harvested to make paint materials before tube paint was introduced. Tan Lip Seng started his career as a medical photographer at the National University of Singapore. He is famous worldwide for his work on contemporary slides and travel photography.
