This is commemorative magazine published for a play titled Xin Fang (Psychological Defence), staged by The Chinese High School’s drama club at the Victoria Theatre, 1960. Such commemorative magazines celebrated various milestones and events. They provide an insight into the inner circles of these groups. These magazines also documented the cultural activities that the masses were involved in, as well as literary works written by union members and plays put up by alumni associations and the Singapore Arts Theatre. The bi- or tri-lingual nature of some publications also shows the kind of intercultural interaction that was taking place.
