This ‘Flying Man’ brand sewing machine was donated by Mdm. Seah Siew Kim. She bought it four years after her marriage in 1955 for slightly over $200 and used it to sew clothes for her children. She was advised by her relative to buy this particular brand although during this period the Vesta and Singer brand sewing machines were popular as well.
