A printed Comme des Garcons sleeveless top

This is an asymmetrical sleeveless top with multi-coloured, street-art inspired graphic prints from Comme des Garçons. Comme des Garçons (which means “like the boys” in French) is a Japanese fashion label founded by designer Rei Kawakubo in 1969. Following the launch of its women’s line in 1975 and its men’s line in 1978, the label made its debut in Paris in 1981. The collection featured distressed, unfinished and ripped fabrics that were wrapped or draped around the body in folds and layers. Initially panned by critics, Kawakubo’s avant garde designs and deconstructed style eventually gained critical acclaim for being bold, artistic and modern. Her seminal creations greatly influenced the international fashion scene of the 1980s and 1990s. Though based in Tokyo, Comme des Garçons stores can be found in major cities around the world.
