This is a photograph of members of the Hoi Thin Amateur Dramatic Association taken at the fund raising event for the Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital held at Lai Chun Yuen. The association was established in 1913 by Singapore Cantonese community leaders for leisure and social activities. It was originally called the Shi Ying Shan She (耆英善社), subsequently renamed as the Hoi Thin Club（海天俱乐部, Haitianjulebu), and finally became known as the Hoi Thin Amateur Dramatic Association (海天游艺会, Haitianyouyihui）in 1918.
