This prayer book contains a collection of salawat (prayers of blessings) for the Prophet, the sayings of the Prophet and other information about his life. In North Africa, these books would have been copied in maghribi – a script which continues to be used there to this day. A tremendously popular devotional book, Dala’il al-Khayrat was often used as a talisman for protection.
