Surrendered Japanese cruisers and a Chinese junk at the Singapore harbour

The Japanese unconditionally surrendered to the Allies on 15 August 1945. Japanese forces in Singapore laid down their arms, thus ending three and a half years of Japanese occupation. Also in the photograph is a Chinese junk or Chinese sailing boat.
