This is believed to be a ‘dondang sayang’ (love ballad/musical) group. The men sitting on the far left and far right are carrying a ‘rebana’ (hand drum), which is placed on the player’s lap during a performance. The man second from the left is holding a violin. The two women sitting in the middle are wearing traditional Malay dresses.
