Shard

This shard was probably part of thickly-potted Dehua ware previously. This shard is covered with a white glaze, characteristic of Dehua porcelain. Dehua porcelain is better known in the West as blanc-de-chine porcelain, which rose to international significance around the 17th century. Its popularity at home and abroad continued and the kilns at Dehua remain prolific to this day.
