Small ribbed jarlet

This small Sawankhalok ribbed dish is covered in a translucent pale-green celadon glaze which ends just above the foot.Sawankhalok wares were exported widely in Southeast Asia at various periods. The Sawankhalok kilns in the Sukothai – Si Satchanalai area produced large quantities of greenwares during the 14th-16th centuries. Many of these have thick green glazes similar to the famous Longquan celadons from Zhejiang province in China.
