This is a Chinese wedding invitation card inviting the recipient(s) to a wedding banquet at Empress Restaurant. The Chinese phoenix and dragon featured on the card are believed to be the perfect couple, representing ‘ying’ and ‘yang’ and are emblems of the empress and emperor respectively. The phoenix and dragon also symbolise success, prosperity and a happy marriage.
