‘Hikayat Awang Sulong Merah Muda’, Malaya Literature series No. 5

‘Hikayat Awang Sulong Merah Muda (The Legend of Awang Sulong Merah Muda)’ is a Malay literary work edited and compiled by A.J. Sturrock and R.O. Windstedt. The text was used by secondary school students as well as older students in Malaya who wanted a deeper understanding of and insight into Malay literature and the language. The story of Awang Sulong Merah Muda was told by Malayan folklorist Pawang Ana and transcribed by Raja Haji Yahya.
