The treat of the secret societies and communists in the 1950s and 1960s were brought under control by 1970s. The Singapore Police Force then revived two key initiatives in the 1958 which were yet to be carried out. These initiatives were the Police Week and the Crime Prevention exhibition. The Police Week as publicised in this booklet was aimed at building public appreciation in the duties of police and creating a greater awareness in crime prevention.
