A view of Lim Chu Kang Cemetery from the ‘While You Were Sleeping’ series by Darren Soh

Darren Soh is an award-winning Singaporean photographer who has a special interest in photographing Singapore’s landscapes. One of Soh’s outstanding works was the ‘While You Were Sleeping’ series, which were taken between 2002 and 2004. The collection of images captured different views of nocturnal Singapore. In doing so, Soh sought to present alternative perspectives of the often overlooked places in Singapore. He was selected by Photo District News (PDN) Magazine as one of PDN's 30 New and EmergingPhotographers to watch in 2009. To date, he has produced works for various editorial publications, as well as corporate and government organizations.
