This is the grand membership certificate issued by the Ghee Hin Kongsi. Such membership certificates were kept at home. According to Stirling’s folio notes, a valid membership certificate had to bear the seals of Hung Society, the Ghee Hin receipt, the ‘wanji’ (myriads) and the Ghee Hin Kongsi. Each of these seals was kept with a different officer at the Hung Lodge.
