The meeting notice of the Ho Seng Society forms part of the secret society paraphernalia that is found in the William Stirling Collection. William George Stirling was the Assistant Protector of Chinese in Singapore from 1921 to 1931. The meeting notice ordered the members of the society to meet at a specific date and time. Since attendance was compulsory, members that did not show up were fined and no longer received any assistance from the society.
