This is an unusual Vaishnava lamp with a tortoise base, a grate to burn incense on its back. Three tiers of small lamp bowls are arranged in front of it to hold wicks and small quantity of oil. The handle is very long and designed in the shape of a gopuram, temple tower. This object suggests the use of specialised ritual objects in the worship of various gods.
