Chua Tiag Ming (T. M. Chua) was a photographer involved in the salon photography movement in Singapore in the 1960s and 1970s. During this period, he documented various aspects of labour in Singapore, especially the vanishing trades. In this photograph, Chua captures the work of drying planks used in building and construction by depicting the materials as a mountain with the worker on top.
