This gold ring is set with a cabochon turquoise stone in the centre, and red agate stones at its two sides. Lotus motifs decorate the shoulders of the ring. Although Indian influence had reached Java by this time and Indian motifs provided inspiration for Javanese goldsmiths, Javanese jewellery were not mere imitates of Indian models. The nature of interaction between Indian and Javanese culture remains a subject of debate.
