This is an example of a cast gold ring. A model made with wax was covered with fine clay, and then when molten gold was poured into the wax model through an inlet, the melted wax flows out through the outlet to be replaced by the molten gold. After this process is completed, a strong metal was used for the inscription. It is unclear what the inscription on this ring symbolises. Most motifs inscribed on rings in this period are related to the goddess Sri, the Hindu goddess of fertility.
