Ring with Sri inscription

This is an example of cast gold ring which features a Sri motif. Most motifs inscribed on rings are related to the goddess Sri, who is the goddess of rice, fertility, good fortune, and prosperity in general. Symbols such as the lotus, an earthen pot containing the water of life, and a conch, were associated with the goddess Sri. Due to its size, this ring could have been strung around the neck and used as pendant or seal.
