This is a set of bead panels of different size. One panel is created using the technique of bead netting. A surface of beads is created by inserting single or multiple threads into the beads to link them into a unified structure. The main decorative motifs here are flowers and insects set against a white background. Strings of bead tassels hang from the bottom of the piece. The other panel also uses the technique of bead netting. It has a border of red geometrical shapes that run along the edges. Its main decorative motifs are a pair of red peony blossoms at the centre of the piece. Peonies are auspicious symbols in the Chinese culture and represent wealth and leisure. Bead tassels run along the widths of this panel.
