Due to the high number of people commuting from Singapore to West Malaysia, a 64-page Singapore Restricted Passport (SRP) was introduced in 1967 to ease the travelling process. The SRP was eventually made invalid on 1 June 1999 when the number of commuters dwindled over the years.
