Krishna is depicted standing in front of his favourite cow attended upon by attendants. In this painting, the unusual aspect of the Krishna figure are his beard and moustache, which make him look mature compared with the general norm of Krishna looking like an adolescent boy. The flute instead of resting on his lips rests on his shoulder behind his back, a rather unusual representation. The two attendants on either side stand wearing sari in Maharashtriyan style covering the head and short choli blouse. This is not a typical Andhra feature and seems to suggest an influence from neighbouring Maharashtra or Maratha influence from Tanjore.
