This is an open letter by Lam Swee, the former Vice President of the Pan Malayan Workers’ Union, confessing that he surrendered on 27 June 1950 at Bentong police station in Pahang. He declares that the leadership of the Malayan Communist Party is corrupted and uses unsuspecting members as political pawns. Lam urges fellow members to surrender and reassures them that they will receive special treatment from the government, be reunited with their families and be able to secure jobs.
