Established in 1876 as the Kampong Glam Malay Branch School, the school shifted to a new site along Victoria Street near Victoria Bridge in 1900 and was renamed Victoria Bridge School after the landmark. The educational institute remained in this location until the end of 1932, following which it moved to new premises at Tyrwhitt Road, where it became known simply as Victoria School. After shifting to Geylang Bahru Lane in 1984, the campus is now located at Siglap Link following the last relocation exercise in 2003.
